I'm a Birmingham-based LGBTQ+ documentary photographer with a passion for visual storytelling that challenges norms and celebrates identity. After completing my undergraduate degree in Communication, Media and Culture, I relocated to Cardiff to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a photographer. I earned a Master’s Degree in Documentary Photography from the University of South Wales, where I honed my craft and developed a critical, socially engaged approach to image-making.
My work is rooted in themes of intimacy, gender, identity, and performativity. I'm particularly interested in how photography can serve as a tool for activism—centering the feminist gaze and resisting systems of oppression. Through my lens, I aim to transform private narratives into public dialogues, exploring how personal experiences intersect with broader cultural and political landscapes.
Photography, for me, is both an art form and a means of resistance. It holds the power to question dominant narratives, disrupt heteronormative frameworks, and reimagine what is considered ‘normal’. My images are not just documentation—they are acts of reclamation, representation, and visibility for marginalized voices, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community.
In addition to my personal practice, I am committed to community-based projects, workshops, and collaborations that amplify underrepresented stories. Whether working on long-form photo essays or intimate portrait series, I strive to create space for empathy, understanding, and change.
